We're (Looking) BACK!!!

This has been one of the most unusual Summer's in recent memory. 2016 may go down in history as the time when the popcorn entertainment suffered under the weight of expectations and the fans' foolish belief that Hollywood can change its money-making priorities. As a result, few of the big titles this year have soared, while many have been considered borderline bombs.

Before we get into the awards seasons sprawl, it's time to look back and cover several of the releases that will define how the blockbuster experience of May through August is remembered. We will also go back and reprise some of the reviews from Filmcritic.com, as was the blog's purpose in the beginning. Between now and September, we look at 11 big releases, along with an equal number of past opinions, hopefully painting a portrait of the state of movies today.

We will then use this blog to breakdown the Fall, finding more examples from both the past and present to hopefully put 2016 into perspective. Enjoy.
